University Healthcare NHS Trust and Clinical senior lecturer at the Imperial college London. He edited\/wrote 4 textbooks in cardiology and published significant original articles and reviews in cardiology. He previously held the position of the Chief examiner of the Royal college of Physicians till October 2023. He is a chair of International MRCP examiners. He innovated few techniques in cardiology and studying cardiac ultrasound during exercise both physical and isometric. His main interest is hypertension, relationship between abnormal glucose tolerance and hypertension and heart diseases in women. and an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine in Khalifa University.<\/p><p>He was awarded a PhD degree\u00a0\u00a0 in the fields of diabetes technology through his work as a member of the Imperial College London Diabetes Technology group in the UK.<\/p><p>His clinical and academic interests include management of type 1 diabetes and complex diabetes, and application of new technologies Endocrinology and Metabolism, Imperial College London<\/em><\/strong><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Dr Jaimini Cegla has a specialist interest in lipidology and cardiovascular risk and splits her time between clinical, laboratory and academic research roles. In her clinical role she looks after the Hammersmith Hospital Lipid Service, a one-stop centre for the genetic diagnosis and management of lipid disorders, which also offers research facilities and access to new medications.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Dr Cegla\u2019s current research focuses on cardiovascular risk including clinical trials of novel therapeutic agents. Dr Cegla is a member of the Medical, Scientific and Research Committee of HEART UK, the cholesterol charity. McLaren Regional Medical Center, Michigan State University in 2000, and then he received his American Board of\u00a0 Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism after he completed his Endocrinology Fellowship at the University Of\u00a0 Nebraska Medical Center in 2002.<\/p><p>After that, he started private endocrinology practice, where he treated patients across all endocrine disorders. He also\u00a0 worked as Adjunct Assistant Professor, Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Volunteer at the University of Nebraska,\u00a0 College of Medicine. He worked as private practitioner for 10 years till he moved to Dubai in late 2012.<\/p><p>Now, he is Consultant Endocrinologist in Dubai Diabetes Center, Dubai Health Authority. He had his medical training at Newcastle University, and completed his clinical training in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine in Cambridge, UK.\u00a0 He was a Senior Lecturer at King\u2019s College London prior to taking up a post in the UAE. He is the Founder &amp; Director for the Imperial Diabetes Educator Training (IDET) programme. He leads clinical research at the ICLDC and has over 55 publications in prestigious high impact journal. Endocrinology. He was appointed a Consultant Endocrinologist at Ashford &amp; St Peters Hospital in London in 2002 and worked as a Consultant until January 2013 when he moved to Abu Dhabi. In UK Dr Saf \u00a0has headed diabetes care in intermediate and\u00a0 secondary care settings. He was instrumental in setting up a consultant led diabetes intermediate care service\u00a0 for Hounslow and Richmond primary care trust in 2011 in the west London area.<\/p><p>Dr Saf moved to Abu Dhabi in January 2013 and started working as a Consultant Endocrinologist and vice chairman medical Board at the Imperial college London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC).\u00a0 In 2014 he was appointed as Medical Director of ICLDC and remained in this role till March 2020. During his tenure ICLDC expanded its network to three branches , achieved the status of centre of excellence by the international Diabetes federation and\u00a0 In addition had the best patient experience in the gulf region and with a\u00a0 public health campaign reaching to over a million people. The clinical quality outcomes exceeded all international bench marks during his tenure. He is now working as a senior consultant Endocrinologist at ICLDC.<\/p><p>Dr Saf has also served\u00a0 as an honorary consultant Endocrinologist at imperial Health care UK and member of the ICL\/ICLDC Research and education Board. London. She graduated from the University of St Andrews in and qualified in medicine from the University of Manchester. She trained in Diabetes and Endocrinology in London and studied with Prof Stephen Bloom for her doctoral research on pancreatic polypeptide. Her research has concentrated on characterizing the physiological effects of human gut hormones on appetite, energy expenditure and glucose homeostasis; the rational design of gut hormone analogues for therapy of obesity and diabetes, and early Phase clinical trials; the physiology of bariatric surgery; and developing assays for gut hormones and other neuropeptides. Her clinical interests lie in the treatment of obesity and diabetes, metabolic complications after bariatric surgery and the management of subfertility associated with obesity and obesity in pregnancy. She is the Director of the UK Supraregional Assay Service Endocrine Laboratory for Gut Hormones, and serves as the Clinical Lead, Biochemistry, and Director of Research for North West London Pathology
