He is an Adjunct Faculty at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD; and is the Vice President of the Saudi Society of Endocrinology &amp; Metabolism and the Vice President of the Type 1 Diabetes Association. Dr. Al-Sofiani has a master\u2019s degree in Biotechnology from Albany, NY and has completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at the University at Buffalo, NY. Then, he joined the Endocrinology Division at Johns Hopkins University where he completed his fellowship training on the Physician\/Scientist track.<br \/><br \/>Dr. Al-Sofiani has authored many scientific papers and given over 300 oral presentations in <br \/>regional and international conferences. He is the recipient of the 2025 American Diabetes <br \/>Association\u2019s Award for Health Care Delivery and Quality Improvement, the 2018 American Diabetes Association\u2019s Vivian Fonseca Research Award, the 2019 Endocrine Society Clinical Fellow Award in Diabetes, the Siegel Award for Excellence in Teaching from University at Buffalo, and several other leader for the practice and provides diabetes care and education for children, adults, and their families. She takes pride in utilising her knowledge and skills to educate people with diabetes and empowers them by helping them to better understand and control their condition.<\/p><p>Manar received her Bachelor\u2019s degree in Nursing from Hashemite University, in Jordan, before going on to attain a Postgraduate diploma in Advance Diabetes Education, from Malmo University, in Sweden, in 2014. She is also a certified Insulin Pump trainer since 2010. In 2022, Manar acquired the Strategic Centre for Obesity Professional Education (SCOPE) Certification, an internationally recognized standard of obesity management expertise.<\/p><p>She has been a member of the core faculty on the ICLDC Diabetes Educator course (IDET) since 2014.She has also co-authored a book on Insulin Pump for Paediatrics and has completed numerous presentations. Manar was also part of the team which led the development of the ICLDC Structured Education Program specifically designed for Adult patients with Type 1
