Is assistant professor and Consultant& Head of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular imaging at Dubai Hospital-Dubai Health. In addition to conventional Nuclear medicine techniques she is specialized in molecular imaging techniques for cancer diagnosis and treatment. With over 27 years of experience in the field, she has pioneered several clinical protocols for integrating PET/CT imaging into personalized treatment plans for oncology patients at Dubai hospital.

She is a board-certified nuclear medicine physician from Munich- Germany and holds advanced certifications in molecular imaging technologies. In addition, she is fellows of European Board in Nuclear Medicine at from Vienna-Austria.

As the founder of Theranostics in UAE a groundbreaking initiative focused on the use of molecular imaging and targeted therapy, Dr. Batool has played a key role in developing nuclear and molecular treatment strategies that combine precise diagnostics with effective therapeutic interventions.

Dr. Batool Albalooshi has served as Chair and organizer of the Emirates Annual Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Conference for the past 10 years, playing a pivotal role in shaping its success and growth. With a strong commitment to advancing the field, Dr. Batool has also contributed to several peer-reviewed publications in leading international journals, furthering the knowledge and application of nuclear medicine and theranostics.

Abdelhamid H. Elgazzar graduated from the University of Cairo, School of Medicine, Cairo, Egypt. He received his training in Clinical and Anatomic Pathology at the University of Kansas, School of Medicine and his Nuclear Medicine training at the University of Cincinnati, School Of Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio, USA.
Professor Elgazzar is board certified by the American Board of Anatomical and Clinical Pathology as well as by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine. In addition to that he is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists. He worked as a faculty staff at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York and as a Head of Nuclear Medicine Division at Tufts-New England Medical Center, Boston. He served as a professor and chairman of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Kuwait University. Currently, he is a visiting professor, department of Radiation Oncology and Nuclear Medicine, at National Cancer Institute, Cairo University, Egypt During his career he has received 14 awards from several international professional organizations.
He is a member of the editorial board of several medical journals and has authored and co-authored more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles and has authored and edited 15 textbooks and 37 book chapters. In addition to that, he has served as a reviewer of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine and several other medical journals.

Al-Ibraheem currently serves as President of the Asia Oceania Federation of Nuclear Medicine and Biology (AOFNMB) and President of the Jordanian Society of Nuclear Medicine. He has served as an expert for the International Atomic Energy Agency since 2012. Prof. Al-Ibraheem has written and published around 200 peer-reviewed articles and book’s chapter on the applications of PET/CT molecular imaging in oncology, radionuclide therapy, cancer diagnosis, and theranostics. Dr. Hidayath Ali Ansari is Consultant Radiologist, Chief of Nuclear Medicine at the Imaging Institute of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Medical Director of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi ( AlAin Branch).

Prior to his career in UAE; Dr. Ansari worked as a Consultant Radiologist and Clinical Director for the Department of Radiology at the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay (NHS) Trust in Lancaster, UK and as Chair of the Radiology, Lancashire Cancer Network. He completed his residency and Fellowships in Specialist Radiology Training at Manchester with PET-CT fellowship at the University Hospital Zurich in Switzerland.

His areas of Specialist Expertise include PETCT, Nuclear medicine, CT Colonography and MR Enterography.  He has worked with his team to establish Cardiac blood flow quantification, American College of Radiology accreditation, contrast enhanced PETCT and new isotope services including DAT Imaging for Parkinsonism, Sentinel node mapping and hybrid imaging amongst few recent achievements and are working towards establishing Gallium PETCT for prostate and Neuro endocrine tumors. He has been recently awarded Clinical Excellence award for 2019 for recognition of his contribution.

He is a fellow of Royal College of Radiologists, actively involved in education and research. He received Four NHS Clinical Excellence Awards from University Hospitals Morecambe Bay NHS in-between 2009 and 2014 in recognition of exceptional contributions to patient safety, quality of clinical care and education.

Dr. Khalsa Al Nabhani is a Senior Consultant in Nuclear Medicine and Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department and Molecular Imaging Center at The Royal Hospital, Oman. With over a decade of experience, she holds an MD from Sultan Qaboos University, and dual qualifications in radiology and nuclear medicine. Dr. Al Nabhani is a recognized expert in nuclear medicine, serving as Oman’s focal point and counterpart to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Laila's academic credentials include an advanced Master's degree in Medical Physics from Queensland University in Australia, a prestigious institution renowned for its research and contributions to the field. In addition to her academic achievements, she holds the designation of a Radiation Protection Qualified Expert in the UAE, a certification that underscores her proficiency in ensuring safety standards are met in radiation-related practices.
Throughout her career, Laila Alblooshi has been at the forefront of several innovations in the medical physics field in the UAE. She is particularly known for her role in establishing the first non-ionizing quality control services in the country, which includes pioneering MRI and ultrasound quality control services. Dr. Mohamad HAIDAR graduated with MD from the Lebanese University in 1995, his studies became oriented towards Nuclear Medicine. He obtained his training in Nuclear Medicine from the University Paris VII in France in 2000 and completed his academic training in several fellowship or training positions at the Bichat Claude Bernard Hospital, Saint Antoine Hospital in Paris (France) and at Zurich hospital (Switzerland). He is also European Board certified in Nuclear Medicine and he is member of the Royal College of Physicians.
In 2013, Dr. Haidar was appointed at AUB as Assistant Professor, and moved up the academic ranks to become an Associated Professor in 2018 (2018-Present). An alumna with utmost dedication and commitment to AUB and the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Haidar formerly assumed the leadership of the Division of Nuclear Medicine at the diagnostic Radiology Department as Director of Nuclear Medicine Division and Cyclotron Facility since 2014 till present.
He is also Founder and Director of the sponsored NM fellowship program started in June 2016 which is advanced fellowship program in the region. He is appointed as chairperson on the Radiation and Laser Safety Committee at AUBMC since July 2021. He never hesitated to serve on any committee or taskforce he was asked to contribute to since 2014.
He is appointed as Assistant VP for business, Faculty of Medicine at AUB in December 2021-Present.
He was also President of the Lebanese Nuclear Medicine Society since November 2011 till May 2015 and re-Elected President of the Lebanese Nuclear Medicine Society in November 2021. He is the President of the Arab Society of Nuclear Medicine since January 2020. He is Also Vice-president, Asia Oceania Federation of Nuclear Medicine & Biology AOFNMB Chairman of AOCNMB from July 2021-present.
He is international expert for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Vienna and ARASIA representatives. Following his hard work and educational effort a practical agreement was signed between IAEA and AUBMC on Cooperation in the area of Nuclear Medicine and Diagnostic Imaging in November 2018. The Division of nuclear medicine was Also recognized as regional center for Diagnostic and Therapeutic nuclear Medicine as well as research center By the Board of Arab States in Asia for research, Development and training related to Nuclear Science and Technology.
He is also Senior advisor to the Minister of Public Health and as such, he is involved in numerous national committees and international programs that deal with critical issues since 2019-Present.
He is Also the Personal Scientific Adviser of the Director of the Lebanese Atomic Energy Commission since 2005-Present and Medical Advisor of the National Committee for CBRN Implementation.
Dr Haidar has reviewed, authored, and published many articles in international and national peer-reviewed journals focusing on the role of Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT in oncology and cancer management. Dr Haidar has delivered many talks and papers in national, regional and international meetings. He has received an award for his research work in 2009 at the Middle East Oncology Congress, (COMO VIII), Beirut, Lebanon and in 2018 at Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Dr. Haidar is currently a member in different national and international scientific and medical societies, and he is extremely knowledgeable in the field of nuclear medicine.

Dr. Najlaa Al Mazrouei

Dr. Najlaa Al Mazrouei, PhD, is a Senior Principal Medical Physicist with expertise in radiation protection, accredited by the UAE's Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR). Since 2005, she has worked at Dubai Health's Medical Physics Section and has contributed to the UAE National Medical Applications Workgroup since 2024. She joined the radiology residency program faculty in 2022 and is Vice President of the Emirates Medical Physics Society.
Notable achievements include establishing a Quality Control program for MRI units at Dubai Health, leading to ACR accreditation in 2021. Dr. Al Mazrouei has held leadership roles in radiation protection, including heading the Radiation Protection Unit (2011-2016) and serving as Secretary of the DHA's Radiation Protection Committee. Ms. Noorah Alshehhi conducts quality control and acceptance testing for a wide range of
diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine equipment, including CT, mammography, and PET/CT, and established a Quality Control Program for ultrasound. They also oversee radiation safety protocols, manage dosimetry for Dubai Health staff, and handle radioactive waste in nuclear medicine labs.
A key contributor to patient safety, Ms. Noorah Alshehhi ensures minimal radiation exposure through regular assessments and supervises Iodine-131 therapy. They are also involved in educating medical staff, conducting training, and offering radiation safety consultations across Dubai health facilities. Before joining NMC Royal Hospital, Dr. Shikare held prominent academic and clinical positions, including Lecturer and Associate Professor of Nuclear Medicine at Seth G.S. Medical College and K.E.M. Hospital, Mumbai, for seven years. He later worked as Consultant and Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Dr. Balabhai Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, for three years.

He trained in Nuclear Medicine at the University of Santo Tomas Hospital (UST) Manila, Philippines and obtained fellowship training Pediatric Nuclear Medicine at the Children's Hospital at Westmead in Greater Sydney, N.S.W. Australia. He received his Master’s degree in Health Professions Educations at the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines and Msc in Health Economics from the University of Aberdeen (U.K.).

He is currently a Science and Technology Fellow III of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) responsible for conceptualization, policy and funding development, and monitoring and evaluation of various R&D programs and projects in the field of Nuclear Medicine. He serves as Head of the Manila Medical Center PET/CT Department catering to patients in the field of Oncology and Neurology and a consultant at PET/CT Center at Centuria, Makati. In addition, he is an Assistant Professor at the De La Salle University College of Medical Imaging and Technology where he teaches emerging nuclear medicine technologies to student under the nuclear medicine technology undergraduate program.
