Dr. Beatrice Benedetti

Dr. Beatrice Benedetti is a Staff Physician in the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Dr. Benedetti completed her Neurology residency in Milan (Italy) at one of the most renewed MS centers in Europe. Since 2003, she has been dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients with MS. Before joining Cleveland clinic Abu Dhabi in 2017, Dr Benedetti worked in Italy and in India. During the early stages of her career, she made significant contributions to the field of neuroimaging in MS, conducting research studies at prestigious centers in Milan, Oxford, and New York. In 2021, Dr. Benedetti was appointed as an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Khalifa University Abu Dhabi.

Prof. Jihad Inshasi

Prof. Jihad Inshasi is a Consultant Neurologist at Rashid Hospital, Dubai Academic Health Corporation (DAHC), and a Professor of Neurology at Dubai Medical College (DMCG). He developed and currently directs the Multiple Sclerosis and the Dystonia Clinics at Rashid Hospital/DAHC Prof. Inshasi is the Head of the Scientific Committee and a Founding and Board Member of the Emirates Neurology Society (EMINS/EMA). With the EMINS Board Members, he has organized numerous neurology meetings, particularly in the field of multiple sclerosis. He is founding and executive board member of the MENACTRIMS. He is also a Founding Member, and ex-President of the Emirates League against Epilepsy (ILAE). He is a member of the medical advisory committee of the recently established National MS Society (NMSS). Prof. Inshasi is a member of several local, regional, and international associations, societies and advisory boards committees. He is a member and Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN) and a member and Fellow of the European Academy of neurology (FEAN) Prof. Inshasi has authored and co-authored many scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals. He has participated as principle and leading investigator in phase 2, 3 & 4 drug trials and has conducted an array of research projects in the field of multiple sclerosis.

Dr. Suzan Noori is a senior consultant neurologist at University Hospital –sharjah (UHS) & assistant professor in the medical college of university of Sharjah. She has obtained MBBS (University of Khartoum); Clinical MD in Medicine (University of Khartoum). She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Edinburgh (FRCP Edn.); a fellow of the Royal College of Physician of Glasgow (FRCP Glasg.)& Member of American Academy of Neurology (MAAN). Dr. Noori holds conjoint academic responsibilities in the Medical College - university of Sharjah, and an active member in the research group at the university. She also has obtained post graduate degree in the management of multiple sclerosis from Leeds Metropolitan University. Her Key professional skills and activities include: Botulinum toxin Injections for chronic migraine & Therapeutic Botox for Dystonia and treatment of Spasticity), Intrathecal Baclofen pump refilling and programming for treatment of spasticity. Dr. Noori is a pioneer in using Botox for chronic migraine in UAE. She runs Botox training workshops locally & regionally. She is a member of many professional bodies locally; regionally and internationally as well as a member of many quality committees and task forces. She is one of the main founders, and currently; the head of the scientific committee of UAE MS support group. She has been actively involved in different meetings & forums as well as in the media and had coordinated regular campaigns for raising awareness for MS in her community.

Prof. Suhail Alrukn

Dr. Alrukn received his degree in medicine from UAE university. He underwent his neurology residency at the University of McGill, and subsequently obtain the neurology certification from the Royal Collage of Physicians & Surgeon (Canada). He then completed a fellowship in Cerebrovascular disease and Stroke at Montreal General Hospital, Canada. he currently serves as a head of Stroke Center at Rashid Hospital, Dubai.

Dr. Alrukn’ s field of interest are principally directed towards the acute stroke management, stroke unit establishing and post stroke rehabilitation. He established the 1st certified stroke unit in UAE. Dr. Al rukn is a local and international speakers in stroke field, and had many publications in this area. Currently he is the President of MENA Stroke Organization. In 2019, Dr. Alrukn became the President of World Congress of Neurology, and is the currently the President of Emirates Neurology Society.

Dr. Alrukn is the Founder and the chairman of the Neurology Residency Program in Dubai, since 2013. Also, he is the Chairman of the Dubai Scientific & Research Ethical Committee.

Dr. Alrukn has an interest in Headache management & Movement disorders, and he is running the movement disorder clinic at Rashid hospital. He currently sits on the executive boards of various scientific associations, steering committee and advisory boards, mainly in stroke & headache.
