In Gothernburg University, he was involved in teaching and contributed in research study with Dr. Anders Hamberger in neuroprotective agents in acute stroke. Then, he completed his Canadian Royal College in Neurology (FRCPC) in 2009.<br><br>\n\nDr. Madani had his residency at the University of Toronto which is ranked number 1 in Canada by Royal College of Canada, and ranked number 4 in the whole North America by American Academy of Neurology. He was personally involved in regional stroke program and he was involved in at least 500 stroke cases and 80 TPA cases. In his residency he also did one whole elective year which involves EEG, research, pathology and nerve conduction studies. By finishing the residency, he was able to manage neurological cases as general neurological cases as general neurologist in 2007. He graduated from medical school at AUB in 1984, received his training in neurology at the University of Cincinnati-Ohio in the USA, and followed by a fellowship at the Montreal Neurological Institute-McGill University in Canada. He received his American Board in Neurology and joined the faculty at the American University of Beirut in 1988. He is currently head of clinical research at the Multiple Sclerosis Center, president of MENACTRIMS (Middle East North Africa Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis), member of the MSIF (Multiple Sclerosis International Federation) Scientific Advisory Board, and fellow of the American Academy of Neurology.<br><br>\nDr. Yammout is one of the leading experts on multiple sclerosis in the Middle East with recent research on epidemiology of the disease in the region, quality of life of patients in the Middle East. In addition, he is currently the principal investigator on several ongoing international multiple sclerosis research trials. He is the medical director for Lykke Lab a genetics laboratory also on the University of BC campus. Also, he is the CSO for Neurocode Lab Inc. in Bellingham WA, a high-complexity, specialty lab focused on neuroimmunology and biomarkers in neurodegeneration. Dr. Frykman has a clinical faculty position at the University of British Columbia, Faculty of Medicine, Division of Neurology.<br><br>\n\n\n\nSince January 1, 2025 Dr. Frykman is also the director for the Center of Excellence in Neurochemistry at National Reference Lab, Abu Dhabi.<br><br>\n\nDr. Frykman has a PhD in biocatalysis and chemistry from the Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. After completing medical school at Karolinska Institute, he trained in internal medicine and oncology at Karolinska Hospital (Solna Campus) followed by training in medical biochemistry at the University of BC with a focus on clinical chemistry and clinical laboratory immunology. Training in clinical laboratory neuroimmunology was obtained by training on location at JR hospital in Oxford (Drs. Angela Vincent, Paddy Waters, David Beeson), Hopital Civil Lyon with Dr. Jerome Honnerat), and at \"City Clinic\" Barcelona with Drs. Francesco Graus, Jospeph Dalmau. Since, 2020 Dr. Frykman has led the clinical laboratory field in Neurochemistry across North America by first launching blood based clinical trial testing in 2021 and the Alzpath p tau 217 test in early 2024. He obtained his medical degree from Khyber Medical College, Pakistan, in 1995 and pursued training in Diagnostic Radiology through the NEOMED Program in Ohio, USA, from 1999 to 2003. He further specialized in Diagnostic Neuroradiology at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, from 2003 to 2004. Dr. Ahmed has been affiliated with Cleveland Clinic for most of his career, including its branch in the UAE. He has served as the Chair of the Radiology Department at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, and as the Chair of the SEHA Radiology Council\u2014SEHA being one of the largest healthcare networks in the region. Additionally, he was the Residency Program Director at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City from 2019 to 2021. Actively engaged in regional academic activities, Dr. Ahmed has been a speaker and organizer at multiple national and international meetings in the Gulf region, including ARM, Abu Dhabi MS Conference, ICRM, and SIRC. He also chaired the 11th edition of the SEHA International Radiology Conference in 2022 and serves as the Chair of the Radiology Scientific Committee under the NIHS-Emirati Board for Health Specialties. Furthermore, he is a board member of the Emirates Society of Radiology and the New Emirates Medical Journal.
