Disorders in the Middle East\u201d is proposed to be held April 18-20, 2025 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). The meeting will convene clinicians including neurologists, psychiatrists, and geriatricians, nurses, public health workers, researchers, social workers, students, caregivers, and community advocates from the Middle East and North Africa (termed the MENA region), USA, Europe and other countries with an interest in epidemiology, clinical\/research, medicine, basic science, and healthcare advocacy related to Alzheimer\u2019s disease and related disorders (ADRD) in the region. Specifically, an emphasis on region specific healthcare delivery will be addressed.<\/p><p>Dr. Marwan Sabbagh, Vice Chair for Research and Professor in the Department of Neurology at the Barrow Neurological Institute, Professor Abdu Adem, Assistant Dean for Research, at Khalifa University, UAE, Hanan Sheikh Ibrahim MD, geriatrician from the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi will be lead organizers. Dr. Robert Friedland, Professor of Neurology at University of Louisville, will also serve on the organizing committee. Dr. Sabbagh is the Principal Investigator of this application. He served as assistant organizer to Dr. Friedland, the original organizer, for three installments, co-organized the 5th, 6th and 7th installments, organized the 8th conference, and is familiar with the logistical and academic needs of these conferences. Professors Sabbagh, Adem and Ibrahim are from MENA ancestry and have a deep understanding of ME cultures.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2cb675b The meeting will convene clinicians including neurologists, psychiatrists, and geriatricians, nurses, public health workers, researchers, social workers, students, caregivers, and community advocates from the Middle East and North Africa (termed the MENA region), USA, Europe and other countries with an interest in epidemiology, clinical\/research, medicine, basic science, and healthcare advocacy related to Alzheimer\u2019s disease and related disorders (ADRD) in the region. Specifically, an emphasis on region specific healthcare delivery will be addressed. Dr. Marwan Sabbagh, Vice Chair for Research and Professor in the Department of Neurology at the Barrow Neurological Institute, Professor Abdu Adem, Assistant Dean for Research, at Khalifa University, UAE, Hanan Sheikh Ibrahim MD, geriatrician from the Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi will be lead organizers. Dr. Robert Friedland, Professor of Neurology at University of Louisville, will also serve on the organizing committee. Dr. Sabbagh is the Principal Investigator of this application.
