I am Certified Diabetes Specialist Nurse Undergone Certified Professional Diabetes Educator’s Course From Jordan Nursing and Midwifery Council and Continue Education At Malmo University (Sweden). I passed Post Graduate Diploma in Advance Diabetes Education and clinical care. Recently Works at Imperial College London Diabetes Center in Abu Dhabi (ICLDC) with overall 15 years of experience. Member of Core faculty at Imperial diabetes Educator Course (IDEC). Honored appreciation certificate on expertise and support from the Facility. I was able to transfer positive attitude, knowledge, and skills successfully to person with diabetes, that will pave the road to patient to be able to empower themselves. I help Patient with diabetes learn to take in stride all the things in their day-to-day life that can help control the disease like exercise, nutrition, medications, and checking blood sugar. I may also work with the family so they understand patient’s needs better and can be there to support. Self efficacy , develops competence and confidence, in mastering self-care behaviors and need to understand and control diabetes. This empowerment start with education. Presented with an opportunity to become an expert in diabetes education and counseling of patients with diabetes; Education is a cornerstone and main purpose of diabetes management, guiding the patient to empower themselves in diabetes management rather than Dedicated education the regular way. During the diabetes care management process, a diabetes care and education specialist works closely with the patient to establish a management plan that suits their lifestyle, beliefs, and culture. Starting from that aim, patient is trained how to manage their daily home diabetes management to reach good glycemic target as expected. Instruct patients on how to use devices like meters, insulin pens, pumps, and continuous glucose monitoring devices, and help them determine patterns and improve their lifestyle through the use of the data generated by these devices. Show interest on Insulin Pump Management Since 2010 till Present , Certified Medtronic Insulin Pump and Certified Roche Insulin Pump Trainer. Proper selection of good candidate for different insulin pump . Fitting insulin pump for different age group of patient. Managing different insulin regimen , adjustment the correct dose. Diabetes education provided by a diabetes care and education specialist can support people with all types of diabetes to improved and manage their blood glucose, cultivate coping skills to address the daily challenges of the disease, lessen the risks for complications, decrease costs by reducing or eradicating the need for medications, treatments, and emergency department visits, and help find and access cost-savings programs. Diabetes education led to a significant increase in the percentage of patients achieving therapeutic targets, and to improved medication adherence and self-care practices. Diabetic education was also associated with a lower rate of chronic complications associated with diabetes.

In conclusion, my role as a health professional, I educate, support and promote self-management of diabetes. My goal is to help people living with diabetes and/or prediabetes set individualized goals in order to optimize their care and health outcomes. Enrollment at Master in Diabetes science will fulfill above tasks.
