Dr. Mohamed Abuelkhair

Dr. Mohammed Abuelkhair got his undergraduate and graduate degree in Clinical Pharmacy from Creighton University in the United State, in addition to the US federal Clinical Leadership institute. He has 21 years of Pharmacy experience as registered pharmacist in Ohio, Nebraska, Texas and licensed in KSA and UAE. He was the winner of the Scissor and Hammer Awards from the United State Vice presidents as a consultant member of the VA Pharmacy Benefit Management team. Dr. Abuelkhair served as clinical faculty in Ohio State University and the University of Mississippi as assistant professor of clinical pharmacy. He founded the International Muslim pharmaceutical organization in the Washington in 1997 and established ASHP Accredited Pharmacy Practice Residency Program in Columbus, Ohio. He was the acting director of Pharmacy at King Faisal specialist Hospital in Jeddah. He established HAAD Drugs and Medical products department and the Drug information and poison control center in Abu Dhabi. He chairs several committees including: Abu Dhabi Pharmacy And therapeutics Committee; Alternative and complementary Medicine committee, Pharmacy Council, Vaccine committee, and Allergy and asthma committee. Dr. Abuelkhair won the prestigious Arab Health Award in 2005 for excellence in pharmacy services. His major area of research interest is in Drug safety and Therapeutic Drug Management and is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences.

Zakieh Abuelkhair is the Director of Pharmacy Operations at Al Thiqa Pharmacy Group, where she founded and led the Specialty Pharmacy Division for complex conditions, spearheaded pharmacy-based vaccination centers, and advanced digital therapeutics with HTA approval.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy from the University of Sharjah and a Master’s degree in Specialty Pharmacy Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh.

In addition to her executive role, Zakieh is a faculty member at Al Ain University, teaching Pharmacoeconomics and Pharmaceutical Marketing to shape the future generation of pharmacy professionals.

Her mission is to reshape and elevate the role of Specialty Pharmacy across the region, championing preventive care, specialized services, and patient-focused digital health solutions.

Adel Al-Assy RPh is a seasoned pharmaceutical Revenue cycle, supply chain and procurement expert, currently serving as the Senior Manager of Pharmaceuticals Supply Chain Management at M42 in Abu Dhabi. With over a decade of experience in the healthcare industry, he has a proven track record of optimizing multi-million-dollar budgets, leading large-scale pharmaceutical tenders, and forging strategic partnerships with key industry stakeholders. Adel has also played a pivotal role in collaborating with health authorities to ensure medication availability across various healthcare settings. He holds an EMBA in Healthcare leadership, Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Alexandria and is a certified professional in revenue cycle and supply chain management.

Dr. Anas Hamad

Dr. Anas is currently the Director of Pharmacy Department at Qatar's National Center for Cancer Care & Research. He is the Head of Medication Safety & Quality Center and Head of Pharmacy Research Center at Hamad Medical Corporation's Pharmacy Executive Office. He holds a position at Qatar University as a Clinical Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy & Practice. He is chairing the Standing Committee on Medication Services at Qatar Red Crescent Society. He is also the Vice President & Director of ISPOR Qatar Chapter. In addition, he is leading the Health Technology Assessment and Innovation Regulation Project under the National Health Strategy in the Ministry of Public Health. Dr. Anas finished his BSc in Pharmacy at the University of Jordan. He obtained MSc in Clinical Pharmacy, International Practice & Policy from the University of London and PhD in Clinical Practice & Medication Use from King's College London. He also acquired an Executive Diploma in Health Services Management from GSM London. Furthermore, he completed the Executive Leaders Program with Qatar Leadership Centre. That is in addition to multiple postgraduate certificates in health technology assessment, supply chain management, human subjects research, quality management, health economics and outcomes research. Dr. Anas is an active researcher with several publications and conference proceedings. He is an Editorial Board Member at International Journal of Clinical Pharmacy and Review Editor at Frontiers in Oncology. He regularly speaks at local and international conferences. He is a member of both HMC's and QU's Institutional Review Boards in addition to the MOPH National Clinical Research Review Committee. Moreover, he is a member of various committees/boards focusing on pharmacy practice, medication use, cancer care, research, safety & quality, medical affairs, healthcare education, health economics, governmental tenders, clinical transformation, and health insurance.

She has provided expertise to organizations such as the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP), Integral Healthcare Solutions (IHS), and MetaStar. Dr. Paslier earned her Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy in 2014 and completed the ISMP International Safe Medication Management Fellowship in 2021. Rafa Al Khalifa is a committed pharmacy professional with a strong dedication to specialty pharmacy, global health, and sustainable pharmaceutical practices. As the Associate Director of Al Thiqa Specialty Pharmacy Services, she plays a pivotal role in optimizing patient care, advancing pharmacy operations, and implementing innovative healthcare solutions. Her commitment to global health collaboration is evident in her role as the Lead of the IVPN Global Health Listserv, where she fosters knowledge exchange and strategic discussions among international healthcare professionals. Additionally, she serves as the Regional Representative of the Data and Intelligence Commission at the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), contributing to data-driven decision-making and the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences worldwide. As the Social and Administrative Pharmacy Liaison for the FIP Early Career Pharmaceutical Group (ECPG), Rafa actively engages with emerging pharmacy professionals, advocating for their involvement in policy-making, pharmacy practice development, and research. Driven by a vision of sustainable healthcare, Rafa leads EcoRx, a pharmaceutical waste management initiative dedicated to reducing environmental impact while ensuring patient safety. Dr. Sara Al Dallal, the founder and president of the Emirates Medical Association’s Emirates Health Economics Society is a Medical Doctor graduated from the UAE University College of Medicine and Health Sciences. She completed her internal medicine residency in Dubai Health Authority, and she holds a master's in health care management from Royal Colleges of Surgeons Ireland and a double master's degree on Health Policy and Health Economics from London School of Economics. She is currently holding the position of Senior Health Service Specialist in Dubai Health Authority.
