Prof. Abubaker Almadani is a board-certified neurologist with advanced fellowship training in neuromuscular disorders from Toronto, Canada. Currently serves as the Chief of the Neurology Department and Chairman of the Neuromuscular Center at Rashid Hospital. A proven leader in clinical program development, having spearheaded the establishment of a Center of Excellence in Neurology and multiple subspecialty clinics. Dr. Abubaker is also clinical professor of  MBRU Offers extensive expertise in neuromuscular diseases, headache disorders, multiple sclerosis, and general neurology, dedicated to elevating patient care and clinical standards.

Dr. Ali Hassan is a Consultant Neurologist and Chief of the Neurology Division at STMC and Tawam Hospitals in Al Ain, UAE. He completed his MD in neurology from Al Azhar University, with specialized training in epilepsy and EEG from Case Western Reserve University, USA. He led the development of accredited stroke centers and founded key neurology conferences in the region. With over 40 publications, he is active in international research and guideline development. Dr. Hassan also trains neurologists in botox therapy and has received awards for teaching and quality leadership.

Dr. Abdulwahab Roman is a Consultant Neurologist, Clinical Neurophysiologist, and Head of Adult Epileptology at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) in Abu Dhabi. He completed his neurology residency in Germany, followed by two fellowships, one in epilepsy and another in presurgical epilepsy evaluation. Prior to relocating to the UAE in June 2021, Dr. Roman served for several years as Head of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and Deputy Head at the Vogtareuth Epilepsy Center in Bavaria. He is a certified EEG expert and examiner, accredited by both the German Society for Clinical Neurophysiology and the German Society for Epileptology. Beyond epilepsy, Dr. Roman received advanced clinical training at two leading multiple sclerosis centers, a comprehensive pain center, and one of Germany’s largest stroke units. He previously held the position of Head of the Multiple Sclerosis Department and Clinical Lead of the CSF Laboratory at the International Medical Center of the Schön Clinic Group in Bavaria. He holds subspecialty qualifications and certifications in cerebrospinal fluid diagnostics (CSF Specialist Qualification) and neurological ultrasound (DEGUM). Dr. Roman is an active member of nine international neuroscience societies.

Dr. Ahmad Nizam is an American Board-certified neurologist with expertise in epilepsy, clinical neurophysiology, and multiple sclerosis. He completed his Neurology Residency and Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship in the U.S. and has over a decade of experience in academic and clinical roles, including serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Arizona. Dr. Nizam specializes in advanced diagnostics such as EEG and EMG, as well as therapeutic interventions like botulinum toxin injections for chronic migraine, spasticity, and cervical dystonia. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed articles and participated in international neurology conferences and clinical trials.

Dr. Devdutt Nayak Kotekar is a senior consultant neurologist and Head of Department of Neurology and Medicine at Al Kuwaiti Hospital EHS Sharjah. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Neurology and examiner at medical college University of Sharjah. He has Diploma in Tropical Medicine from Liverpool. MRCP from Dublin Ireland .Fellow Royal College of Physicians Glasgow. Fellow American Academy of Neurology. He is Deputy to Technical Director and Head of Pharmacy and Therapeutic committee at Kuwait Hospital Also a Member of organ donation committee and stroke committee for stroke code in Emirates Health Services. He Started the first Migraine clinic serving the northern emirates under umbrella of Emirates Health Services. His research has focused on migraine headaches, multiple sclerosis, dementia and Epilepsy with many publications last year. Dr Kotekar has been honored by the EHS and awarded for his long standing work in the field of neurology and its licensing board He has served on the Advisory Board of many neurological disorders and their medications before launch. He is Founding member of Emirates Neurology society and served before in its scientific committee. He is Long standing member of Movement disorder society, and Emirati League against epilepsy He also started multiple sclerosis patient group in Sharjah and conducted its various activities for past 15 yrs.

Dr. Lamya Turkawi is a Consultant Neurologist and Head of the Neurology Division at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE. She holds an MBBS from Jordan, the Arab Board in Internal Medicine, and an MRCP (UK) with a specialty in Neurology. Dr. Turkawi is dedicated to clinical excellence, service development, and the advancement of neurological care in the UAE.

Dr. Muaz Elsayed is an Adjunct Professor of Neurology and Head of the Neurology Department at Al Qassimi Hospital, Emirates Health Services (EHS), Sharjah. He graduated from the University of Khartoum, where he obtained his MD degree, and completed four years of specialized training in Neurology at the National Center for Neurological Sciences. He further advanced his expertise by earning an MSc in Clinical Neurology from Queen Square, London, UK.

Dr. Elsayed has authored and co-authored 32 international and local publications in the fields of Neurology and Epilepsy and has supervised multiple postgraduate theses in neurology. He has held several senior educational and administrative roles across undergraduate and postgraduate medical training programs. He is an active member of the EHS Stroke Committee, the MOHAP Licensing Evaluation Committee, and serves as a Core Faculty Member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program. Additionally, he has been an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer for SJMS since 2015 and is a member of the Neurology Training Board at SMSB. Dr. Elsayed has also led and organized numerous conferences and outreach training initiatives as part of his work with the Neuroscience Society, contributing significantly to education, service, and professional development in neurology.

Miklós Szólics, MD, PhD, EDiNR, is a Hungarian board-certified Neurologist, Radiologist, and Neuroradiologist who is serving as a Consultant Neurologist at Tawam and STMC Hospitals, Division of Neurology, Department of Neuroscience, and Clinical Full Professor at the Department of Medicine, CMHS, UAEU.

Dr. M.Szólics has been practicing clinical Neurology for more than 40 years. As a consultant neurologist at Tawam Hospital, he has served the Al Ain community for over 23 years. For another 20 years, he practiced in the former USSR, Ukraine, Hungary, and the Caribbean Dutch territories.

He was the Chief of the Neurology Division at Tawam Hospital from 2007 to 2021 and is the lead physician for the MS clinic.

His main professional interests include Neurovascular neurology, Epilepsy, MS, and Neuroimmunology, Neuro-Electrophysiology, Diagnostic Neuroimaging, and Medical Education

Dr. Pournamy Sarathchandran is a consultant neurologist in Al Qassimi hospital, Sharjah, UAE.She has special interest in Multiple sclerosis and movement disorders. 

She is a fellow of American Academy of Neurology (FAAN) and Fellow of European board of Neurology (FEBN) and Fellow of Royal College of physicians (FRCP, Edin).

She is an adjunct associate professor in Sharjah University for medical students and core faculty for Emirati board medical residency program. She is former program director for neurology residency program in Rashid hospital. 

She graduated from the prestigious national institutes in India -JIPMER and STIMST, where she was awarded gold medals for academic merit. She did Mini fellowship in Movements disorders from the Nebraska University, USA

Dr. Alrukn received his degree in medicine from UAE university. He underwent his neurology residency at the University of McGill, and subsequently obtain the neurology certification from the Royal Collage of Physicians & Surgeon (Canada). He then completed a fellowship in 
Cerebrovascular disease and Stroke at Montreal General Hospital, Canada. he currently serves as a head of Stroke Center at Rashid Hospital, Dubai. <br><br>
Dr. Alrukn’ s field of interest are principally directed towards the acute stroke management, stroke unit establishing and post stroke rehabilitation. He established the 1st certified stroke unit in UAE. Dr. Al rukn is a local and international speakers in stroke field, and had many publications in this area. Currently he is the President of MENA Stroke Organization. 
In 2019, Dr. Alrukn became the President of World Congress of Neurology, and is the currently the President of  Emirates Neurology Society. <br><br>
Dr. Alrukn is the Founder and the chairman of the Neurology Residency Program in Dubai, since 2013. Also, he is the Chairman of the Dubai Scientific & Research Ethical Committee. <br><br>
Dr. Alrukn has an interest in Headache management & Movement disorders, and he is running  the movement disorder clinic at Rashid hospital. He currently sits on the executive boards of various scientific associations, steering committee and advisory boards, mainly in stroke & headache. 

Dr. Mustafa Shakra is a Consultant Neurologist based at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Specializing in inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the central nervous system, he oversees the Multiple Sclerosis clinics at SKMC. 

Dr. Shakra obtained his medical degree from Damascus University in 1992 and completed comprehensive training in general internal medicine and neurology subspecialty at major university hospitals. His extensive qualifications include an MD, MSc, MRCP, and FRCP in medicine and neurology. Furthermore, he has contributed to numerous articles as an author and co-author within the field of neurology
