MCO Organizes Infection Control Course

Infection Control Course – Friday, the 26th of August 2016

We at Medetarian Conferences Organizing (MCO) welcome all interested medical professionals in UAE to attend a One-day Infection Control Course to be held on Friday, the 26th of August 2016 at Sofitel Hotel,  Abu Dhabi.

MCO has designed this course in collaboration with Eatimad Training Institute to identify and reduce the risks of acquiring and transmitting infections among patients, healthcare professionals, staff and visitors. Eatimad Training Institute is a pioneer in the healthcare training field in the MENA region. It works closely with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), who havedeveloped effective training programs that best meet their clients’ requirements. Eatimad is licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) and American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI).

The course covers the main infection control practices including chain of infection, infection control precautions, disinfection and sterilization techniques, waste management, transmission based precautions, isolation precautions, aseptic techniques, MRSA, MERS, EBOLA and many more.

To quote the Regulatory Health Authorities in UAE, “Infection prevention and control programs in health care facilities maximise patient outcomes and should be an integral part of health care facility management and operations.”

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that billions of dollars in additional hospital costs are incurred annually as a direct result of healthcare setting infections or nosocomial infections.

All healthcare professionals must be well-informed of various infection control practices. A breach in infection control practices facilitates transmission of infection between patients, health care workers, other patients and attendants.
