4th Abu Dhabi Integrated Mental Health Conference 2024 

The 4th Abu Dhabi Integrated Mental Health Conference, themed “Harmonizing Minds, Bridging Gaps, Breaking Barriers,” unfolded at the InterContinental, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Spearheaded by esteemed leaders Dr. Zain Ali Al Yafei, CEO of Seha Mental Health and Well-Being Services, and Dr. Nahida Nayaz Ahmed, CMO of Seha Mental Health and Well-Being Services, the conference stood as a beacon for holistic care integration, sharing pioneering research and innovations, and advocating for mental health equity and awareness. 

The conference commenced with a warm welcome from Dr. Zain AlYafei, setting the tone for two days of insightful discussions and collaborative endeavors. H.E. Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi graced the event with an opening message, emphasizing the significance of addressing mental health issues and the importance of collective efforts in this endeavor. 

A highlight of the conference was the keynote discussion titled “The Future of Mental Healthcare in the UAE,” led by H.E. Maqsoud Kruse. Searching through into the future landscape of mental health services, this session provided valuable insights and directions for advancing mental healthcare in the region. Dr. Nahida Nayaz Ahmed also shared SEHA Mental Health & Wellbeing’s visionary approach, shedding light on their mission to transform mental health services. 

Throughout the conference, participants engaged in discussions centered around critical themes such as the intersections of mental health, integration across disciplines, and the unique challenges and opportunities in child psychiatry and youth mental health. A unique aspect of the conference was the Art & Poster Display, featuring topics such as Art Therapy Tool as Psychological Trauma Relief and Introduction to Art Coaching. Dr. Manal Elewah and Dr. Lamees Ebrahim Mussa Abuhlaiqa provided insights into the transformative power of art in promoting mental well-being and facilitating healing.
