The 8th International Multidisciplinary Breast Conference (IMBC) was successfully held from April 10th to 12th, 2025, in Dubai, UAE. Under the timely theme "Breast Cancer Treatment De-escalation: Less is More," the conference united global leaders in oncology to critically examine strategies for personalizing and optimizing patient care by minimizing treatment-related morbidity without compromising outcomes.
The conference commenced with two highly practical pre-conference workshops. Esteemed surgeons Dr. Mahmoud El-Tamer and Dr. Mohamed Al-Bashir led an immersive oncoplastic hands-on workshop, demonstrating advanced surgical techniques. Concurrently, Dr. Rola Shaheen conducted a transformative leadership workshop, equipping attendees with essential skills for navigating modern healthcare challenges.
Day Two built on this foundation with another series of specialized workshops. A hands- on breast radiology workshop was expertly led by Dr. Kinda Douaidari and Dr. Adnan Kassis. Parallel sessions included a critical workshop on HER2 low pathology and oncology guided by Dr. Hassan Jaafar and Dr. Asif Quadri, and an essential oncology nursing workshop steered by Mr. Khaled Al Qawasmeh and Mr. Mahmoud Hassan. The day culminated in a dynamic hybrid conference, featuring multidisciplinary sessions moderated by renowned faculty, which set the stage for in-depth scientific discourse.
The final day focused on specific, high-impact clinical subtypes. Morning sessions on Triple Negative and HER2+ Breast Cancer were expertly moderated by Dr. Serife Simsek and Dr. Aydah Alawadhi, featuring a notable discussion on innovative care paradigms with Phesgo led by Dr. Dalia Elshourbagy. The conference progressed with comprehensive sessions on Metastatic Breast Cancer, an engaging Tumor Board discussion, and a pivotal forum examining Controversies in Breast Cancer, all guided by panels of eminent professionals.
By fostering dialogue among surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and specialist nurses, the 8th IMBC provided an unparalleled forum for collaboration.
